WHAT IS FREEZE DRYING?
Freeze drying, also called lyophilization or cryodesiccation, is a method of low-temperature dehydration. It involves freezing the product to -100°F and removing the resulting ice crystals through sublimation.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FREEZE DRY?
That all depends on the type of machine you use and how much moisture is in the food item. Some items can take over 48 hours while others are done in a little as 4-5 hours!
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FREEZE DRYING AND DEHYDRATING?
While both freeze drying and dehydration are methods of removing moisture from materials, freeze drying preserves the structure and nutrients of the material better, resulting in a higher quality end product suitable for applications where retaining original characteristics is important.
